The Indian Navy has is inviting suitably qualified candidates to fill up 1159 latest job openings. The vacancies are available for the post of Tradesman Mate, which is a Group C post. Interested candidates can check out the official advertisement at the website Online applications for the recruitment can be submitted starting from February 22, 2021. On the other hand, the last date for submission of online applications through the aforementioned website is March 07, 2021. Selection of the eligible applicants is to be done through a Computer Based Test followed by final document verification.

As per the official advertisement available at the website of the Indian Navy, the 1159 vacancies are available in three different cadres. 710 openings are available in the Eastern Naval Command. Similarly 324 vacancies are available in the Western Naval Command. In addition, 125 vacancies are also available in the Southern Naval Command. These vacancies are furthermore distributed across various categories in each command. Candidates are advised to check with the official notification for the complete vacancy distribution details.

Selection of the candidates is subject to meeting some minimum eligibility criteria as laid down by the Indian Navy for this recruitment. All applicants are required to be within the age of 18 to 25 years in order to apply. Furthermore, applicants must have passed Class 10th exam following which, they must have acquired an ITI Certificate. Relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable as per government norms in vogue.

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are called to appear in the selection test. One must select the test city on the online application form. Complete details of the test day, time and venue are indicated on the admit card which releases through the official website only. Candidates have to appear in the selection test as per schedule. The test subjects include General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, General English & Comprehension and General Awareness. Admit cards release on the official website and only registered candidates are eligible to receive the admit card. Interested candidates can apply online at as per schedule. An application fee is payable for this recruitment by candidates belonging to the unreserved categories. All candidates, (except SC/ST, PWD, ESM & Women) are required to pay a fee of Rs 205. The fee can be paid online using one of the available modes.
