Executive (Sports & Law)/Technical (Naval Constructor) Branch entry in Indian Navy; Apply now

The Indian Navy has invited applications from unmarried men and women to join as Short Service Commission Officers for Executive Branch (Sports & Law) and Technical Branch (Naval Constructor) Entries – June 2021 Course.

Eligibility for the entries are as follows:

Sports: Applicant should satisfy the Professional & Educational Qualifications.

Professional Qualification- Applicant should have participated at Senior Level National Championships/ Games in Athletics/ Tennis/ Football/ Hockey/ Basketball/ Swimming.

Educational Qualification: Applicant should hold a regular Post Graduate Degree or BE/B.Tech in any field. Those with Diploma in Sports Coaching from National Institute of Sports/ M.Sc in Sports (Coaching) will be given priority for shortlisting.

Law: Applicant should have a degree in Law with minimum 55% marks from a college/university recognised by Bar Council of India, qualifying for enrolment as an advocate under Advocates Act 1961

Naval Constructor: Applicant should have BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in one of (i) Mechanical (ii) Civil (iii) Aeronautical (iv) Aero Space (v) Metallurgy (vi) Naval Architecture (vii) Ocean Engineering (viii) Marine Engineering (ix) Ship Technology (x) Ship Building (xi) Ship Design.

All applicant should satisfy the conditions related to age and Physical Standards as given in the Notification available at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in

For Sports, Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable by maximum 4 years in 2 steps (2 years + 2 years) subject to Service requirements, performance, medical eligibility and willingness of the candidate. Officer joining under this scheme will not be eligible for grant of Permanent Commission. Officer will not be permitted to leave before 10 years except in exceptional circumstances. Qualifying the Professional Management Examination (PME) will be compulsory for promotion to the rank of Commander

For Law & Naval Constructor, Short Service Commission is granted initially for 10 years extendable further for 4 years (2+2) subject to vacancy, service requirements, performance, willingness and medical eligibility of the officers.

The selection procedure for each entry, details related to training, duties of officers and other service conditions are available in the Notification.

Applications are to be registered at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

For Sports and Law entries, applications can be submitted latest by 7th February, 2021. For Naval Constructor, Applications can be submitted from 10th February 2021 to 18th February 2021.
